5 Gift Ideas for all the Family

Some people love christmas shopping and gift giving, some people hate it, either way there is usually someone you cant think of a good gift for. Ive put together a simple list of 5 ideas for all the family – hopefully something will spark some inspiration.

For Kids – Basic toys are often the best toys, although there is a place for fancy electronic devices in life, there is most definitely a time for unplugged, back to basic fun and learning. Beautiful Beginnings do a lovely and inexpensive range of wooden and simple toys, like this time teaching and counting clock puzzle. Great for toddlers and pre-schoolers and any age children that are learning how to tell the time.

For Mum & Baby – Gumigem Necklaces are brilliant. They are necklaces for you to wear that baby can hold on to and chew. They look like real stones but to touch they are rubbery; ideal for little teethers. They work well as twiddle busters too whilst feeding or other times little fingers need occupying. We have a great range in our online store Cherishable.

For the whole family – Ableys is a family business that make lots of lovely things for the home and children; including draught excluders, bunting, aprons, oven gloves, dribble bibs, soft toys, doll’s accesories and lots more. They use lovely quality fabrics and all their things look beautiful. Go take a look.
For Mums-to-be and Parents – Natalia is a lovely natural skin care range specially tailored for babies, pregnancy, labour and new parents. It is all made from essential oils and other yummy natural ingredients like shea butter or calendula. The whole range is gorgeous, but I particularly like Mum’s Miracle Balm. Its a versatile cream that is the right size for your handbag and is great for using as a hand/face cream, lip balm, nappy cream, dry patches and minor sore bits for you or your little ones. Natalia also has some lovely gift boxes for a readymade present.

For kids and Dads – Boardriders Guide very kindly sent Jake a gorgeous blue O’Neil O’Zone Toddler UV Sunsuit for us to keep and review. Its lovely; really stylish and simple, made from quality soft lycra material – so very easy to get on and off a wriggly toddler, the zip is at the back which is much better too. We have so far only used it inside but it does have 50+ UPF sun protection so will be great for the beach in the summer too. And what’s more, Jake looks super cute in it! Boardriders Guide have a huge range of swim and surf-wear for children and adults.

I also think buying from charity shops, markets and craft fairs is lovely at christmas time, as well as making your own gifts. Look out for some posts on Christmas baked goods and homemade presents soon.
