Make a simple origami tulip!

I saw these beautiful origami tulips on education.com a while back and they are so pretty and easy to do that I want to show you here how to make them with your children.
You’ll need:
-a flower-coloured square of paper
-a green square of paper for your stem
(Origami paper is best because it’s thin, but I used scrapbook paper because that’s what I had on hand)
For your tulip head, take the coloured square
and fold it in half diagonally.
Now fold that in half and unfold so that you have a crease in the middle.
Fold one side up to the opposite side.
Repeat with the other side.
Fold the bottom up a little to square it off.
Flip it over. There’s your tulip.
Now grab your stem piece
and fold it in half diagonally.
Open it up and fold the sides in to the center crease.
Fold it in half on the original crease.
Fold the bottom piece up to make a leaf.

Put the flower and the stem together and admire your creation.
